About WASAReC
The Water and Sanitation Regulatory Council (WASAReC) is a non-governmental organisation registered and operating in Zambia. We work to improve access to clean water and sanitation through regulatory oversight, community engagement, research, and infrastructure support for peri-urban communities.
Our website provides information about our programmes, impact, publications, and ways to engage with our mission through donations, volunteering, or institutional partnership.

Donations & Payments
All donations made to WASAReC are voluntary and non-refundable unless an error occurred during processing. Donations are used solely to advance WASAReC's charitable mission in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in Zambia.
WASAReC is committed to radical transparency in the use of funds. Quarterly impact reports are made available to donors upon request and published periodically on our website.
WASAReC does not guarantee any specific outcomes from donations, as programme results depend on a range of environmental, logistical, and governmental factors.

Volunteer Engagement
Volunteering with WASAReC is subject to a separate onboarding agreement that you will be asked to sign upon acceptance into the programme. Key principles include:
- check_small Volunteers act as representatives of WASAReC and must conduct themselves professionally and in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
- check_small Volunteers are not employees and are not entitled to remuneration unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- check_small WASAReC reserves the right to end a volunteer engagement at any time if these terms or programme guidelines are not followed.
- check_small Volunteers may not share confidential programme data, community information, or internal communications without prior written approval.
Partnerships
Corporate, governmental, and institutional partnerships are governed by individual Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) or Partnership Agreements negotiated with WASAReC's Strategic Partnerships Office. Submitting a partnership inquiry through our website does not constitute a binding agreement.
Any claims of endorsement, affiliation, or co-branding with WASAReC require a signed written agreement and may not be implied from a formal inquiry alone.
Disclaimer of Warranties
This website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. WASAReC does not warrant that:
