Our WASH club at Chakunkula Combined School has no dull moment!! Bravo Mr Mwanza and Mr Nyanga our teacher mentors for putting the best foot forward and keeping the YWVC going at the school.
Today we were exploring further the MHHM topic with our young friends. Just when you think you have heard it all, then you hear ati kuli na ma ‘red carpet’ mwe bantu! Ya, we got you there right? We also thought it was a literal red carpet, but no. Red carpet is a term boys use to bully the girls when they stain their skirt during menstruation. Sad right!?😔😢 No girl should be bullied and shamed. Boys should be involved in the conversation, and that conversation starts at home and reinforced in school.
