We have some exciting news to share! 🎉 🎊 WASAREC and the University of Zambia have collaborated to study the possibility of utilizing recycled water bottles as a low-cost and climate-resilient self-irrigating system. This innovative method is poised to transform agriculture ☘ and agro-forestry 🌴 for households, particularly those in water-stressed areas. Additionally, it could help manage plastic waste and save time for women farmers as this technology doesn’t require their presence for irrigation. By championing this solution, we are paving the way towards a more sustainable future for our planet 🌍 . Hats off 🙌 to our Volunteer Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Associate Benard Nkole for his hard work and for presenting the concept at the Royal Society of Chemistry-Commonwealth Chemistry.
